Making your own cheese at home is easy and so much fun! In this beginners class you will learn how to craft fresh mozzarella cheese with just a few simple ingredients. The mozzarella is ready to eat right away - it can be used on pizza, in salads, with crackers or any way you like to enjoy it!
During the 60-90 Minute Introductory Artisan Cheese Making Class you will:
Learn proper cleaning and sanitization practices
Review the necessary equipment
Discuss basic principles of cheese making including required ingredients
Watch a demonstration of making Mozzarella Cheese from whole milk and other fresh ingredients

The Basque Market offers a variety of cooking classes with wine tastings each month. We can also customize a private class for you and your friends or colleagues! We taste three to four wines from the Iberian Peninsula. You’ll not only learn some great recipes, but also a fair amount about the wines of this region.
Classes are pre-paid and non-refundable. Please give us a call at 208-433-1208 or stop into the market to register and pay.
The evening begins at 5:45 pm for a tasting of four carefully selected wines. Cooking instructions will begin at about 6:00 pm and typically run 1-2 hours. Light tapas are also provided at the beginning of class.
Classes start at $40/person, paid in advance and are non-refundable. If for some reason you can’t make it, feel free to send a friend in your place.
If you eat Brie by the spoonful, this is the class for you! Kristi Slotemaker, owner River Valley Cheese, will walk you through all the steps to make this yummy favorite. You'll take home a hunk 'o' Brie ready to eat that night! You'll also learn to make fresh chevre and leave with a gourmet log made in class. Don't forget to come hungry - an unlimited cheese buffet awaits!
A cooking class at Eggshells is the ultimate culinary experience. Held on-location at our location in the Heights (5501 N Kavanaugh Blvd), our cooking classes invite the best and brightest gourmets to strut their stuff.
Classes typically begin at 6 PM. The price of admission includes a welcome beer or glass of wine (only for the grown-ups, obviously!) and what the chef has prepared. You are welcome to bring your beverage of choice for the prepared meal.
